Does NORBr lend to merchants?
No. NORBr does not provide lending. Software platforms that add lending after payments connect a specialist partner on top of their payment setup. The platform's advantage is the merchant data and timing it already holds, which lets it offer financing inside its workflow at the moment the merchant needs it, while the lender carries the credit decision.
In detail
No. NORBr does not provide lending. Software platforms that add lending after payments connect a specialist partner on top of their payment setup. The platform's advantage is the merchant data and timing it already holds, which lets it offer financing inside its workflow at the moment the merchant needs it, while the lender carries the credit decision.
Payments, not credit
NORBr provides white-label payment infrastructure: provider connections, routing, checkout, onboarding, reporting and payouts under the operator's brand. It does not lend money to merchants and does not take credit risk. Lending requires a license and a balance sheet, which belong to specialist partners.
How platforms add financing
- Connect a lending partner that underwrites merchants and funds the loans.
- Use the payment data already on the platform, such as volume, seasonality and dispute rates, to pre-qualify merchants.
- Offer financing inside the software workflow, at the moment a merchant orders stock or hits a cash gap.
- Repay through a share of daily settlements, which the platform can route to the lender.
The platform's advantage
A software platform knows its merchants' sales before any bank does, and it meets them daily in the product. That timing and data are what make embedded financing convert. The lender decides; the platform distributes and collects. Operators that run payouts and settlement on their own infrastructure can support the repayment flow without a separate integration.
