Can we use Onboard without the NORBr payment platform?
Yes. It runs standalone, on the acquiring relationships you already hold. If you also run your platform on NORBr, an approved merchant moves into your payment stack carrying the information you already collected, and starts nothing over.
In detail
Yes. Onboard runs standalone, on the acquiring relationships you already hold. You can use it to collect KYB, review documents and submit applications to your payment partners, whatever platform processes the payments afterward.
Used on its own, Onboard covers the full onboarding journey: forms built from a question library, document review with content read on upload, one application per payment partner, follow-up questions in the merchant file and an audit trail on every action. Onboarding events can reach the systems you already run, so approved merchants can be passed to your existing stack.
When you also run your platform on NORBr
If your payment platform runs on NORBr as well, an approved merchant moves into your payment stack carrying the information you already collected. The merchant starts nothing over: the company details, ownership structure and documents gathered during KYB are already there when its merchant account is set up.
That makes Onboard a practical first step for operators who want to modernize onboarding before changing their payment infrastructure, or who run several processing setups at once. It also keeps one onboarding process across programs, brands and partners, with the same controls, the same retention rules and the same evidence for your auditors.
