Can we adapt the KYB questionnaire to a merchant's industry?
Yes. You build one form per profile, from a shared library of questions. A travel merchant answers on credit risk and delivery horizon, a retail merchant on stock and locations. Adding, hiding or reordering a question happens in the interface.
In detail
Yes. Risk lives in the detail of a business model, and one generic form misses it. You build as many onboarding forms as you have merchant profiles, by activity, risk level or region, from a shared library of questions.
A travel merchant answers on credit risk and delivery horizon. A retail merchant answers on stock and locations. A platform that onboards its own sub-merchants answers on that structure. You send the right form once you know who you are dealing with.
How forms are built
- Questions are objects: you write one once, with a label, a type, a helper text and a rule, then place it in as many forms as you need.
- Four question types cover text, choice, date and document, each answer structured for review.
- Rules make a question mandatory, or show it only when it applies.
- A live preview shows what the merchant will see, question by question.
Adding, hiding or reordering a question happens in the interface, without a development request. Compliance writes the questions and program teams assemble the forms.
The same holds one level down. A client program serving a different merchant mix builds the forms it calls for, starting from the library you seeded, while every answer stays structured and traceable.
