Can foreign merchants accept BLIK?

In detail
Yes. Foreign merchants can accept BLIK through Polish gateways such as Przelewy24, PayU, Tpay and Autopay, and through international payment providers that have added it. Since September 2026, some international providers show BLIK automatically to Polish shoppers.
Why it is worth it
BLIK is the first online payment method in Poland. In the Gemius 2025 study, 72% of online shoppers said they pay with BLIK, against 43% by card. BLIK says it handles more than 70% of transactions in Polish e-commerce, and it processed 766.7 million online payments in the first half of 2026. A foreign merchant offering only cards misses the method most Polish shoppers reach for first.
How it works for the shopper
The shopper enters a six-digit code generated in their banking app, or confirms a push notification, and approves the payment. No card details are shared. BLIK is a Polish zloty method, so merchants need to price or settle in PLN or work with a provider that handles conversion.
What it means for payment operators
For operators serving merchants that sell into Poland, BLIK is a priority local method. Connecting a provider that supports it, with PLN settlement, and enabling it per merchant lets cross-border merchants match local expectations without a separate Polish integration.
