Braintree

Braintree is a payment gateway owned by PayPal. It processes cards, PayPal and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay for online and mobile businesses, including marketplaces.

For a PSP or PayFac, Braintree is a route that combines card processing with PayPal acceptance from one provider. It is useful for merchants that already rely on Braintree, or that want PayPal and cards processed together on marketplaces and mobile apps.

From an operations point of view, Braintree transactions appear in the same Console views as your other providers, with statuses and refunds handled through one interface. Your team can review its results per merchant, country or card brand and adjust routing when performance changes.

Connected through NORBr, Braintree sits alongside the other providers in your stack: you set routing rules by country, currency or card type, and follow its transactions from the same Console as the rest of your merchant portfolio.
